1978 El Cerrito Relays

The El Cerrito Relays, also known as the Hale Roach Relays, was held on April 22nd of 1978.
These are some of the photos of my vaulting that day. I finished tied for 2nd at 13-0.
The El Cerrito Relays was one of the larger Invitationals in Northern California. There were 33 vaulters in my Varsity division.This was my 12-0 vault which I made on my first attempt.This was my 13-0 vault which I made on my first attempt.First time I ever remember getting to stand on a podium. Sixth place boy in hat is Mike Becker of Pittsburg who would later win at MOC.
