Kirsten Carter is so good that even when she has a slower time for her it is still better than any girl we have ever had.
Carter finished in 8th place which surpasses or equals, depending on how you look at it, the best place ever in that event.
In 1993 Fort Bragg’s Tamika Brown qualified for the final with a 24.88 trials run but because the meet was postponed a week for bad weather, that never showed up, she was unable to make it back to the meet.
The 24.95 is only Carter’s 14th fastest time yet only these girls have ever gone faster.
