Former Rincon Valley Christian harrier Wes Methum, now a freshman at The Masters University, placed 10th in his league finals to help his team win the Golden State Athletic Conference.
With his team trailing Westmont college after each teams top three runners finished Methum placed just ahead of Westmont’s 4th runner to tie the score before each teams 5th runner finished with The Masters runner finishing 3.8 seconds better.
Methum ran the 8,000 meter course in 25:35.0, a 5:08.8 mile pace.
Methum and his team have now qualified for the NAIA nationals.
