Martinez, CA – October 30, 2024 – The Santa Rosa JC Cross Country teams delivered impressive performances at the Big 8 Conference Championships held at Hidden Valley Park. The men’s team clinched the top spot in the 4.03-mile race, knocking off the top ranked team in Northern California, American River.
Coach David Wellman praised the men’s team, saying, “The team executed the race plan perfectly. I am so proud of this crew; they achieved something great today.”

Meanwhile, the women’s team finished fifth in their race. Kristi Smith was the first across the line for the Bear Cubs with a time of 20:49 of the 3 mile course. American River took home the victory.
