Girls 400m hurdles
Yesterday El Molino’s Anbrianna Tait won the 300 hurdles at the Viking Classic in 46.92.
Santa Rosa’s Kirsten Carter ran a 48.24 hurdle race in the rain last year and has 54.24 400 speed.
Sonoma Academy’s Rylee Bowen won her heat at the Viking in 49.14. Rylee has 2:11.91 800 speed.
Maria Carrillo’s Habibah Sanusi won the Twilight 300’s in the pouring rain in 47.47.
Imagine these four in a match race over the 400 hurdles. That would be fun.
Maybe next year as only Tait is a senior.
Empire record is held by Santa Rosa’s Katie Schukle from 1996 at 62.66.
That’s a 47.0 300 pace.
