The Big Cat is Saturday at Santa Rosa High School and even though the weather might not be the best you can be sure there will be some great opening performances.
They are expecting about 25 schools to compete with the meet starting at 9am. Teams entered
Last year Montgomery’s Hanne Thomsen broke the meet record in the 3200 in 10:18.69.
By the end of the 2023 season Thomsen had destroyed the Empire record she set in 2022 and lowered it twice down to our first sub 10 at 9:55.31.
Five more sub 10:31’s and Thomsen will tie Julia Stamps for the most top performances.
Thomsen plans to run the 3200 again this year at the Big Cat which will happen near the end of the meet in the afternoon.
