Sonoma Academy’s Rylee Bowen finished 8th (4:50.22) in the fastest heat of the Mile Run Championship at the 2016 New Balance Indoor Nationals at The Armory in New York.
Bowen’s mile time is equal to a 1600m at 4:48.54.
It now gives Rylee three of the top 19 1600m times in Empire history with Julia Stamps having 11 and Sara Bei having the other 5.
That time is an Empire 2016 best and is the third All-Time Sophomore class record behind Stamps and Bei.

Meanwhile at the USATF Youth Indoor Championship in Ocean Breeze, Park Staten Island her sisters were turning in fast metric miles (1500m).
It appears that both Kate and Taylin may have run in older divisions than they needed to.
Taylin now appears to be able to run a mile outdoors on a track and not be lapped by Rylee.
