Santa Rosa’s Kirsten Carter ran the 400 at the Brooks PR Invitational on June 18th at Seattle, Washington.
It was a star filled field from across the country. Carter’s time was over a second faster than her prep best and the 5th fastest over her career.
Carter now has 5 of the fastest 25 from the Empire ever trailing only Analy’s Rose Criss in that department who ran 10 in her four years.
Carter’s time fell just .13 seconds short of 1985 Panther Wendi Simmons as the fastest sophomore ever.
Carter of course holds the Empire record from last year at 54.24.
