Former Santa Rosa runner Daniel Skandera placed 3rd in the Under 20 Men’s USATF Cross Country Championships.
In the 8k race Skandera finished in 25:19.0.
He was back in 7th at about 18:30 into the race.
Moved into 5th around 20:50 into the race.
Moved into 3rd around 23:25 into the race.

The High School Nike Cross Nationals were going on at the same time.
The top five from the under 20 group plus the winner of the Nike race all qualified to represent the USA at the World Athletics Cross Country Championships.
The 46th World Athletics Cross Country Championships will be held in Tallahassee, FL, on January 10th, 2026.
Tallahassee will be the third time the United States has hosted the World Athletics Cross Country Championships and the first since 1992, when held in Boston, MA. New York also hosted the championship in 1984.
Skandera set many age group world records while here in Santa Rosa.
