Former Santa Rosa runner Daniel Skandera earned a team bronze medal at the under 20 World Athletics Cross Country Championships.
18 year old Skandera ran a smart race picking off runners every kilo of the race to finish as the U.S.’s number three runner in 19th to help the USA team to a third place finish behind Kenya and Uganda.
Kenya as expected dominated taking the top four places for a perfect score.
For the US the men’s under 20 team was the only US team to medal.
