St. Helena’s Harper McClain won two National Championships at the USATF Junior Olympics at the end of July.

McClain won both the 1500 meter (4:36.38) and 3000 meter (9:51.21) finals for the 15-16 year old events.
Those times compare to 1600 and 3200’s at about 4:56.76 and 10:34.81.
For St. Helena McClain had bests of 5:01.04 and 10:29.68 for the 1600 and 3200.
McClain’s final lap in the 1500 was in 70.1 and her 3000 win was by more than 16 seconds.
McClain moved to 4th All-Time in the Redwood Empire in both events.
