With timers at both the 1600 meter spot and at mile the race produced two winners.
Riley Stewart passed 1600 meters at 4:45.76 with Madison Shults just behind at 4:45.81.
But at the mile finish Shults had taken the lead at 4:47.14 to 4:47.45 by Stewart.
