Sonoma Academy’s Josie Hill destroyed her own 800 Empire record by beating a national class group of runners in 2:05.86.
Hill followed a Wisconsin runner (59.97) thru the first lap in second at 60.35.
Hill then turned in a 65.86 second lap to blow away the field by over a second with Nebraska’s Emma Steffensen at 2:06.96, she took two firsts (800/400) and two seconds (1600/1600R) at her state meet.
