Nicole Lane ran a new marathon PR, set today 12/5/21, at the California International Marathon. Nicole ran 2:39:10 to eclipse her prior best, 2:41:39, set in January 2021. Her time put her in the top 20 female finishers, slotting in at 19th.

The time moves Nicole past Kim Conley, into 3rd on the Redwood Empire all-time marathon time list.
Her coach Steve Palladino said “This race is a step forward towards achieving the new 2024 US Olympic Trials qualifying standard (2:37 or better for females).
I should add that this PR is her third in one month, following her 34:48 10K PR on November 14, then her 16:28 5K PR on November 25.”
