Pierce Kapustka wins the Towson Invitational 1500

Pierce Kapustka now running for George Washington won the 1500 meter race at the Towson Invitational in Maryland.
There were three heats totaling 25 finishers.
Kapustka’s heat started off slow compared to the other heats.
Kapustka held back in 4th of the 8 runners in his heat through the first 300 meters clocking 51.40, which had him back in 23rd overall.
A 65.96 2nd 400m lap moved him from 23rd to 12th crossing 700 meters in 1:57.36.
A 3rd lap of 64.46 moved him all the way to 3rd overall and 2nd in his heat at 3:01.82 with a lap to go.
His final lap of 59.53 left the field behind for the victory in 4:01.36.
