Sacramento, CA – The Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) Track and Field team had a strong showing at the Beaver Invitational.
Women’s Highlights:
Siolo Lua placed 2nd in Shot Put with 38-3.5 (A Standard), 3rd in Discus with 121-5 (A Standard), and 2nd in Hammer with 138-7 (A Standard, 7th all-time at SRJC).
Addison Hackett placed 3rd in the Hammer with 138-1 (A Standard, 8th all-time at SRJC).
Lauren King took 4th in the 100m with a time of 12.63 and 3rd in the 200m with 26.79.
Addie Waterman finished 3rd in the 400m with 59.07 (10th all-time at SRJC).
Diana Valencia Dimas placed 4th in the 400m with 59.57.
Alexandra Van Holt took 3rd in the 1500m with 5:04.65.
Leyna Stein finished 2nd in the Long Jump with 15-11.
Men’s Highlights:
NJ Robert won the Pole Vault with a mark of 13-11.25, placed 2nd in Javelin with 132-6, and 3rd in the 110m Hurdles with 16.88.
Jared Hayes finished 4th in the 800m with a time of 1:59.56 and 4th in the 1500m with 4:06.40.
Johnny Ando took 6th in the 800m with 2:00.16.
Josiah Orozco placed 5th in the Long Jump with 21-2.5.
Oscar Cruz finished 4th in the Discus with 125-1.
Vitauts Vanags placed 6th in the Hammer with 99-5.
Next week, SRJC Track and Field head to the Cal Opener at UC Berkeley, where they will test themselves against strong competition.
