Mondo Duplantis and Sam Kendricks were suppose to have a big duel in Monaco today at the Herculis Diamond League meeting.
Problem was neither vaulter could find an airline to get their poles to the meet.
Kendricks ended up having to drop out while Duplantis’ mom made a 25-hour drive to get his poles to the meet.
Duplantis won the meet at 19-8ΒΌ.
Sounds like the win should go to his mom.
