VVAL pennant will be decided at NCS

The first ever Vine Valley Athletic League cross country pennant’s will end up being decided without an actual league Championship meet.
The VVAL contests three center meets including all seven teams with each meet counting as 20% and the Championships were suppose to count for the final 40%.
Because Saturdays Championship could not be run because of the poor air quality from the Paradise fire the coaches voted, instead of rescheduling the meet, to use the team times turned in by each school as the basis for how they would earn their final points that would have been scored at the Championship.
Because the Casa Grande boys had won all three center meets they have already been declared the season champions but in the girls Casa won the first two meets but Vintage won the last one, so the faster team between those two at the NCS meet will be declared the season champions in that division.
Vintage will be competing in the division II race at 10am on November 17th, while the Casa girls will run in the division III race at noon.
