North Bay League “Oak” Championship, 11/5/22 at Spring Lake 2.97 mile course

Montgomery’s Hanne Thomsen just keeps continuing to run near out of this world times.
Ukiah’s Amber Trotter had one of the best season’s in US prep history the year she won the national title and now she has been dropped down a spot behind what Thomsen did today.
Thomsen’s time of 16:21 has just one more spot to pick off the Spring Lake 2.97 mile course list, that of fabled Julia Stamps’ 16:15.
Thomsen’s margin of victory (1:47) is also the 2nd largest ever behind Stamps’ 1:58 in the 1995 finals.
Thomsen’s margin came over her sophomore teammates Amrie Lacefield and Seelah Kittelstrom who both clocked 18:08.
The Viking team turned in one of the great team efforts accumulating the 5th best ever.
Maria Carrillo’s Gracie Trenam broke up the Vikings top four with a 18:48 time ahead of Hope Martin in 19:14.
