In 2024 in cold rainy conditions St. Helena’s Corinna Schlatter easily won the the finals by 58 seconds clocking 18:43.0.
Technology’s Josie Hill was next to claim the NCL II title in 19:40.2.
Hill had won the meet in 2023 in 19:12.
Both Schlatter and Hill (competing now for Sonoma Academy) are back.
The two have not run head to head yet this year.
Schlatter’s best Spring Lake time was from her 2024 finals win at 18:43.
Hill recently on October 29th covered the course in 18:21.
Schlatter and Hill are both division V runners as is Cardinal Newman’s Ashlin Mallon, who will run in the NBL finals.
On Oct 18 Hill was ranked 3rd for division V in the NCS with Mallon at 4th. Schlatter was not listed in top 10.
At the NCS 2024 finals Schlatter was 4th, Hill 32nd and Mallon did not compete.
On the team end Sonoma Academy came out on top in 2024 with Middletown taking the previous two years.
This year Sonoma Academy is the #4 ranked team in the NCS division V.
