Liam Currie, Cardinal Newman 2024 grad
Now at Colorado School of Mines
Liam is a Cardinal Newman 2024 grad just wrapping up his sophomore indoor track season at Colorado School of Mines. Liam competed in the 800m with a personal best of 1:51.33 at the Colorado Classic in Boulder, CO. He was part of the Mines 4×400 relay team that broke the school record (3:12.33)and won 1st place at the RMAC Championships. Liam ran the 800m leg of the Distance Medley Relay (9:55.06) at the NCAA D2 Indoor National Championships in Virginia this past weekend, which placed 9th overall. He’s gearing up for an exciting outdoor season.

Liam’s brother, Oliver, (CN ‘26) is committed to Bucknell University for long jump next year. He’s currently nursing a hamstring injury, but hopes to compete for CN as soon as he’s able.
