Montgomery High coach Robert Pedersen won the Napa Valley Marathon in 2:19:19 to beat his PR of 2:25:09.
Pedersen is now coached by Chris Puppione.
Pedersen ran negative splits, opening the first half in 1:10:21 (nearly 2 minutes behind the race leader) before closing in 1:08:58 to win by nearly 2 minutes.
In the women’s marathon Santa Rosa’s Krista Drechsler placed 16th in 3:07:11.
Vintage High cross country coach, Shari Costsnzo won the 50-54 age group division.
