Barrett brothers put up great numbers

Seth and Zach Barrett were both major stars for Santa Rosa High back in the nineties.
Now Seth has gone beyond something major, to be precise he was just promoted to Lieutenant Colonel in the army.

Seth Barrett 1997

Seth was two grades below Zach. Seth graduated in 1997, Zach in 1995.
Running down what these two did will take awhile for they were both three year stars.

Seth was a top contender in the Redwood Empire in the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump, pole vault, shot put and discus throw.
Zach stared in cross country and the 1600 & 3200 in track.

1997
Seth was Santa Rosa High’s Boys Athlete of the Year for All-Sports.
Besides all that he did on the track he was also a two time All-Redwood Empire first team member in basketball were he was a center.

Seth qualified for state after winning the North Coast Section Meet of Champions in the high jump with a clearance of 6-8, a mark that currently has him tied for 12th All-Time in the Redwood Empire and was the 1997 prep best.
He also qualified for state in the discus at 3rd in 153-11.
Seth was the North Bay League Champion in the high jump at 6-4 that year.
He had the second best marks in both throws that year behind Cardinal Newman great Brian Chase. Seth’s marks were discus 154-7 and shot 49-6¾.

At MOC he placed 6th in the 300IH at 40.18.
At the NCS Rewood Empire finals this year Seth placed in both hurdles.
In the 300IH he was second in 40.10. Watch the race.
In the 110HH he was sixth in 16.39. Watch the race.
He set a meet record at the Viking Classic running 39.5 for what is still the 3rd Sophomore All-Time mark in the 300IH.
With hurdling greats Chris Barnsdale and Jason Andrews competing that year Seth was 3rd on the 1995 list but 4th on the All-Time back then. He is now 22nd All-Time in that event.
He was 4th on the 1995 prep best list in the discus at 143-7.

Qualified for state with a 3rd at MOC 9:31.82.
At the NCS Rewood Empire finals this year Zach won both the 1600 and 3200 meter races.

Seth is still the 5th All-Time Freshman in the discus at 135-2 for Santa Rosa J.H. in 1994.
