Former Redwood Empire runners Harper McClain and Gabby Peterson each helped their teams to high places.
McClain a freshman at Oregon placed 20th on the 6k course in 21:27.6 to finish as her teams third scoring runner.
Peterson a sophomore at Oregon State placed 62nd on the 6k course in 22:55.6 to finish as her teams fifth scoring runner.
Both runners passed a lot of competitors during the race. McClain was only 34th at the 2k mark and Peterson was back at 83rd at 2k.
