Windsor’s best boys finish ever has been 3rd in the 2008 SCL finals.
This looks to be their year as they are undefeated besting Analy 22-34 this year.
Same in the girls as three times Windsor has gone as high as third in both leagues but never better.
This looks to be their year as they are undefeated besting Analy 21-34 this year.
Individually Windsor has not had a champion since Matt Brady in 2000.
But Lucas Chung looks to not only win but dominate this one.
Two freshman look to battle it out in the girls with Lucas’ sister Lilja having beaten Analy’s Carolina Dawson in their meeting.
Windsor has never had a girl place higher than third in a league finals. Analy’s last winner was Molly Foster in 2013.

5 points for the winning finals; 4 points for the second place team; 3 points for the third place team; 2 points for the fourth place team; and 1 point for the fifth place team.

If Carrillo could lost to Piner in the finals they would tie for the pennant but both Puma teams look untouchable.
The Carrillo boys are shooting for their 7th straight pennant.
Last years Puma boys won with a score of 19 meaning they were better than all the other schools combined and this year looks like more of the same.
It has been 16 years since the Puma girls have not had a least a share of the pennant and expect to see that domination continue here.
Healdsburg’s Gabriella Peterson is as dominate as an individual as the Puma’s are as a team and could just be our next state champion.
Very good chance the Puma’s will win the boys individual title as well, biggest question is which one, Rory Smail and Colton Swinth, are good bets, with a host of other Pumas with dark horse being Piner’s Nathan Hayes.

VVAL Championship at Spring Lake Park
3.05 mile Spring Lake County Park course, since 1988
Boys Course Record: 14:43 Luis Luna, 5th State III, Piner 2011, next 14:50 Ryan Mack, State II Champion, Ukiah 1998

Brand new league so meet records will go to the winners.

Boys
Casa Grande has won all three league meets in the boys but by very close scores over Vintage 31-33, 27-42, 29-35.
If I understand the VVAL bylaws Casa could take second to Vintage in the finals and still win the pennant.
Guzman Emmanuel of Vintage is the clear favorite having won all three league meets by 11, 11 and 51 seconds with the last two being over teammate Frye Dylan.
Girls
Casa Grande won the first two league meets over Vintage 31-50 and 34-36 but Vintage took the last one 24-38.
If I understand the VVAL bylaws although Casa leads going in to the finals that a Vintage win in the finals would give them soul position of the pennant.
Mary Deeik of Vintage has destroyed the fields every time, with second going to teammate Michaela Kreps, more than a minute behind, 1:18, 1:12, 1:47.
