Boys Season Rankings by Marks

The old timers love to talk about the heydays of track & field while the new kids think they are better.
Turns out it’s a tie.
Looking at each season and seeing how many outstanding marks* each year produced shows that 1978 and (2019) both produced an incredible 45 marks those seasons, with 1973 just one behind.
* Qualifying marks are roughly what it takes to make the All-Time Top 50, actual marks listed near the bottom of the page.
